The Boise Pride 2008 theme focuses on YOU, the individual and US, the GLBTQ community. Our organization hopes to encourage open dialogue, transparency, and unity among the many GLBTQ groups and organizations, inviting and uniting a broad range of community support from individual citizens and community leaders.
The 2008 Pride Marketing Committee will be holding a competition for artists who would like to express their vision of this year’s theme. The competition will be announced via our website and media supporters in April 2008. Please check back for updates.
The 2008 Pride Festival Entertainment Committee will hold open auditions for local musicians, bands, and other performance acts. The audition process will be announced via our website and our media supporters during the month of April 2008. Please check back for updates.
Boise Pride is responsible for organizing and producing the Pride Festival, Rally and Parade. The marketing and notice of other events can be coordinated with us and we’ll do our best to include them in marketing materials and notices. Several organizations have already contacted us regarding events during the week of June 8 – 14, 2008. Officially recognized pride events are limited. Please contact us immediately if you plan to organize and promote an event during the week of pride.
Become a Member -
Both individuals and organizations can help by becoming a member. When you
join Boise Pride your annual
contribution helps to fund our operating costs. You also become a stake
holder in our company, which gives individuals and organizations the right
to vote on important matters like electing executive officers, deciding on
short and long term company goals and choosing the pride theme. Everything
that Boise Pride does can be
scrutinized by its members. Being a member puts you in control!
In addition, membership will entitle you to financial benefits that we have negotiated and continue to negotiate with local companies and businesses. Make sure you visit our website to find out how to become a member and for future details.
Become a Sponsor -
If your business is capable of making a financial donation and becoming a
sponsor, do it now. Gays and Lesbians are among the most brand-loyal and
conscious Americans. Becoming a sponsor of pride increases your visibility
in our community and strengthens the loyalty of discerning customers.

Become a Volunteer -
Visit our website and complete the Contact Us form. Every year, pride
depends on the volunteers who help make community contacts, provide security
at the rally, guide the parade, setup festival tents and markers, assist
with marketing and graphic materials, and manage the stage and
entertainment. If you can think of it, you can help get it done.
Enter a Float
or Join the Parade -
We encourage everyone to get creative, design, build and enter a float. It
doesn’t have to be outrageous (although we’d all love it if it were)! A
float can be entered for a small registration fee, which can be purchased
piecemeal or with a sponsorship package. Forms, prices and sponsorship
levels can be found in the
Pride Packet.
Become a
Vendor -
Booth spaces can be purchased at various rates for non-profit and for-profit
organizations. They can be purchased piecemeal or with a sponsorship
package. Forms, prices and sponsorship levels can be found in the
Pride Packet.
The Rally begins at 12 noon at the Boise Depot. At 12:45 the crowd will join float participants at the Parade staging area and prepare for the parade. The parade will follow Crescent Rim Dr. down to Capital Blvd turning west on Royal Blvd and continuing to the festival at the Ann Morrison Park fountain.
For more information on how to enter a float, float guidelines and rules and how to purchase a booth space at the festival, please download and open the Pride Packet.
